The Wonder of Nature

On Imbolc, the 2nd of February we light candles to represent our acknowledgement of the returning light and life of Spring. We acknowledge the wonder of nature and it's great power of life and inspiration. The above picture reminds me of this, it is a Fogbow - a rainbow formed in fog rather than rain - from the light of the Moon. A truly rare and beautiful thing like our world and being!

  1. Hey Edwin,
Here we have yet another convergence of the Divine Energies! Today in ancient Christianity is celebrated "Candlemass", which is a major feast day of the Mother of God. On this feast, the Christ is welcomed into the Temple as the bringer of Light and Life. Here is the special feast-day prayer:
'Hail Virgin Theotokos full of Grace, for Christ our God, the Sun of Righteousness, has dawned from you, granting light to those in darkness. And you, O Righteous Elder, rejoice, taking in your arms, the Deliverance of our souls, who grants us Resurrection.'
The Righteous Elder is Simeon, who was elderly when he held Christ in his arms. He had been promised by God to witness the 'dawning of righteousness' before his death.
Hope all is well with you.
    Chat soon I hope.
    Love and Blessings,
    Chad x
